Editorial integrity (read this first)

Sponsored content is labelled "Sponsored" on every surface. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" + footnote disclosure. We do not run sponsorships from companies whose products we have actively criticised in editorial. We will not recommend a tool we wouldn't use ourselves. Editorial decisions are independent of advertising relationships — full policy in methodology.

Newsletter sponsorship

One slot per issue · weekly digest

A single sponsored placement at the top of the weekly digest. Audience is engaged, opt-in, low spam-fatigue. One slot per issue, two-week minimum lead time, ad copy reviewed for editorial fit.

Display advertising

Carbon Ads / EthicalAds · CPM-based

One tasteful slot between fold and footer. Network-served (we don't deal with creative or invoicing — Carbon/EthicalAds do). Activates when traffic crosses each network's threshold; until then this surface stays empty.

Affiliate partnerships

Inline disclosure · UTM-attributed

For tools we already use and would recommend regardless. Add you to verticals/vested/partners.yaml; editorial mentions become tracked links via /r/<you>/<slug>. Click + conversion attribution; you handle the affiliate infrastructure.

AI-citation aggregators

Perplexity Publisher · TollBit · Cloudflare PPC

We're indexed and licensable for inference. Aggregators revenue-share with publishers when our content cites in their answers. See /licensing and /.well-known/rsl.json for the manifest.

What we don't sell

Editorial coverage. You can't pay us to cover you.
Backlinks. Sale of links is grounds for a Google manual action; we won't risk the domain.
Auto-played video, popups, interstitials, or anything that breaks the reading experience.
Surveillance ads. No third-party trackers, no behavioural retargeting.
